RONGO

Hear from Craig Murray and Victor Daviet as they share the story of how a joking “contract” at the 2025 Arc’teryx Freeride Academy sparked an unforgettable backcountry road trip through Aotearoa, New Zealand. What started as a playful promise turned into a full-blown mission aboard the legendary bus Rongo.

From perfect alpine sunrises to long days touring beneath Aoraki / Mt. Cook, Craig and Victor recount a journey filled with raw experiences, deep connection, and the magic of exploring wild places with friends who appreciate them just as much.

STEPPING OUT

In the mountains—like in life—most days aren’t perfect. But for ACMG splitboard guides Christine Feleki and Joey Vosburgh, making their 150+ days a year meaningful is the job.

Guiding is a constant balance of managing uncertainty, prioritizing safety, and sharpening skills in an ever-evolving field. Longevity demands not just technical expertise and avalanche awareness, but ongoing self-reflection and growth.

This year, they explored a remote corner of the Selkirks Joey had been eyeing for years—navigating variable conditions, embracing the unknown, and reflecting on how far their journeys have taken them.

BETWEEN DAYS

What happens when nine riders from four countries touch down in the Japanese Alps in the midst of a season-defining storm cycle?

The universal language of ‘dig yourself out, lap until your legs give out, and do it all again’ removes any barriers that may have existed, and a silent bond is forged through the immersive experience that storm riding brings.

Linking up with snowboard legend Tadashi Fuse, follow along as the Arc’teryx team searches high, low and everywhere in between for deep turns and unforgettable times.

KIMMY FASANI

Kimmy Fasani is a professional snowboarder, entrepreneur, and advocate. Driven by a love of snowboarding, along with a commitment to equality in sports, and a profound ability to evolve both as an athlete and as a mother, Kimmy is one of the most beloved athletes of our time.

Born and raised in Truckee, California, Fasani developed a deep love for snowboarding at a young age. Her passion for the sport led her to compete nationally by age 15, and after moving to Mammoth Lakes, she soon met her now-husband, professional skier Chris Benchetler. Through numerous injuries and setbacks, Fasani’s determination to push boundaries in a male-dominated sport kept her motivated, eventually leading her to make history in 2011 as the first woman to land a double backflip in the terrain park.

Fasani’s latest project is the highly anticipated film Butterfly in a Blizzard, which will be released in spring 2025. The film, seven years in the making, offers a deeply personal look into Fasani’s transformative journey as a world-traveling snowboarder and a mother. Through raw and intimate footage captured over five years, the film explores themes of matrescence — a newly coined term that encompasses the transition into motherhood — as well as Fasani’s struggles with childhood trauma, relationship challenges, and her cancer diagnosis. The film, supported by expert voices in maternal health, provides an honest portrayal of Fasani's metamorphosis, capturing the profound shifts in identity and her resilience in her evolution as an athlete and a mother.
